I didn’t fully grasp the phrase “man’s best friend” until Riley. Now I understand not just that phrase but what it means to have a soul dog. I don’t usually believe in fate but I don’t know what else can explain us meeting at the first adoption event I went to and him being the perfect match. There have been bumps along the way, but having Riley in my life has been one of the greatest blessings. Riley may be from Texas but he quickly became a New Yorker at heart and an expert traveler. His sassy and fun-loving personality makes me laugh every day, his cuddles bring such love, and his high-energy drive gets me out into the city. And when he looks deep into my eyes or shares his huge grin, I know he is so grateful for his rescued life too. Happy Gotcha Day, Riley! Love you forever, bubs. ❤️🐶☺️
